I got just scored this in a huge medical grouping... My very first medic helmet! Unfortunately it is just the liner, but this has to be one of the coolest liners I've ever seen. I've tried to keep myself from posting stuff before I receive it, but I couldn't wait to post this...

Awesome! I had one similar years ago and I so regret selling it. Enjoy it!

I'm so excited. The grouping it is coming with is REALLY nice as well.

Very nice... Is the the medic insignia post war? What else is in the group?

I think it is WWII era. The other items are all WWII dated, as far as I know. Here's a pic:

Nice grouping and great liner, but I'm not 100% sure at least the Lt's mark is WWII. It appears to be a decal like was common in the late 40s or 50s, but you would have to have it in hand to be sure. Great liner either way, congrats!

It almost looks handpainted to me.

This is the best photo I could find, but this is another liner from the forum that has an identical decal, just upside down compared to this one.

The M3 Medic Bag is from the 1960's.

I like the bag set.

Thanks. There's another liner the seller has from the same man, when he was a Captain. It's a fairly obvious early-mid '50s liner with decals, so that would place this one to the late-40s.

Got it today, it's actually a 2nd Lieutenant. The rank is a decal, applied over the red cross. It has 1952 dated nape strap, so KW use. Take a look...

I took the sweatband out since it was hanging on by 2 clips, and I didn't want to rip the webbing further by leaving it in.

very nice medic liner - I would have no problem having this is my collection!

Looks like the cross is painted as there is red color inside the hole on the front on the liner?

Yeah the crosses are hand-painted.
