willysmb44 Posted July 7, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2014 I collect items from an airfield in my old hometown during WW2. Been looking for a license plate from the field for going on 25 years now. Missed one on eBay about 5 years ago, it went for several hundred dollars (still have no idea why so much). So, I just won this listing, been wanting one for so long now. I might even have a copy of the plate made to hang on my garage wall!

tab6 Posted July 7, 2014 Share #4 Posted July 7, 2014 Really great find. I've got a feeling many people would say "Huh?", but for those of us who like the oddball, it is beyond perfect. I had to keep myself from bidding on a bunch of WW2 vintage AAF matchbooks on eBay a couple of weeks ago. Didn't need them, and they went cheaply, but darn they were interesting!
