That's a beauty!!!

My Uncle Joe Rachunas and a fellow crewman/friend Phil Chaperon were in Stalag XVIIB from April 13 1944 for the duration.

 I have the roster for Stalag XVIIB.

 I'll take a look at it.

The one I have was made by this guy and the handwriting appears to be the same as the one on yours.

I recently acquired these along with other items from Lt. Joseph F. Henchman, 721st BS/450th BG.  He was held at Stalag Luft III and the back side has ‘Sagan’ & an unknown word, possibly a name?

Were these displays “a thing”? 
 

There was a POW pilot in New Cumberland, PA who made a similar display of US and foreign wings.

This is a POW camp made wing display from Stalag Luft 1.

 

it was made by a POW from the 99th Bomb Group 15th AAF.
