Hello guys I found both of these patches at a yard sale today. The first one is just a standard cut-edge 1st infantry probably WWII era, but the 16th Infantry Regiment pocket patch I have no idea what era it is. It has been sewn on a uniform at some point. Can anyone give some info on this patch please.

Thanks,

Devin

Your 16th Infantry Regiment pocket patch is German made and most likely dates to the 1950's. It is a nice pick-up.

Thanks Allan, I thought maybe it was German made. Thanks for verifying for me. I also found a M5A1 bayonet with a M8A1 scabbard at the same sale which I believe are also 50's era so maybe the vet who owned them was a Korean war vet.

Thanks again

Hi, i just found this thread.

I got a P43 jacket with the very same patches. German-occupation made 1st infantry division Bevo style & 16th infantry regiment.

Named Woodhead, condition is untouched.

Beefheart check out this topic, I think you'll like it.

It say In Vietnam, but it generated into showing the PPs of the Big Red One from the 50s and pre Vietnam early 60s as well.
