I finally got the last one I needed to complete a set of matchbooks from each of the battleships at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Very Neat! thumbsup.gif I have a few matchbooks in my bar from different

AAF headquarters. I put mine right nest to my vintage P-51 ashtray and

period packs of Lucky Strikes. I always thought matchbooks were kind of

a neat little item.

Thanks, it took me about two years to get all of them, but now I have a nice inexpensive display with some historical significance.

Very nice! I have all the matcovers except the Utah and the Oklahoma, and never really thought about putting them together in that context. Now you need to start on the subs and tenders as well as the destroyers..... thumbsup.gif

I do have several of the other ships that were at pearl harbor, I also have a U.S.S. Indianapolis that I am going to frame seperately with a picture of the ship.

Subs are tough, small crews and I am not sure they even all issued things like matchbooks.
