Bruce Linz Posted June 27, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 27, 2014 Hello, Does anyone recognized this ribbon? I think its a foreign award. The colors to me look like red, silver, blue, silver, red. It is part of a ribbon bar that belonged to Brigadier General Robert Edward Hill, USMC. Any help would be appreciated. JBFloyd Posted June 27, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 27, 2014 It looks like a variant of the Chinese Order of Yun Hui (Cloud and Banner), fifth class. The dimensions are off some, but that's not uncommon in foreign awards.
Bruce Linz Posted June 27, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted June 27, 2014 Jeff, Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it might be a Chinese award. Only other possibility I could think of was Korean, but I couldn't find any Korean ribbon remotely close. Bruce
quack Posted June 28, 2014 Share #4 Posted June 28, 2014 Could it be Thai? Also, I am intrigued that all the stars on the ribbons seem to be "point-down". Is this how the USMC wears them?
