Another estate sale Vet find. MD who was said to have served in Iraq. Can't find the ID for the unit. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Al.

This is the crest for the 6th Field Artillery. There are 2 of these DI's one that faces left and one right.\

Thanks for the quick reply. Would a medical unit be part of that regiment, or did he pick it up at a poker game? This guy is/was a very prominent MD here in Dallas. Thanks again, Al.

probably no medical unit assigned to the 6th FA, other than a battalion aid station equivalent (if even that). He could have been the unit surgeon, and if so would have worn these crests.

I concur with Quack. He was probably on the Regimental Staff as the Medical Officer for the entire unit, and under him were the Battalion PA's (Physician Assistants)
