Flashlarue Posted June 22, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2014 At first I didn't notice anything out of the way with this DUI. Closer inspection shows the screw back is an actual brass screw. I can't see where anything else was ever mounted before the screw.
Flashlarue Posted June 22, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted June 22, 2014 And now the back. See the screw slot?
1SG_1st_Cav Posted June 22, 2014 Share #3 Posted June 22, 2014 It's all good! You just need a nut. Danny
Flashlarue Posted June 22, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted June 22, 2014 The nut came with it. I removed it for the photo. So slot head screws were original to these DUI?

doyler Posted June 22, 2014 Share #6 Posted June 22, 2014 I have a 350th Inf that has a threaded screw on the back thats about 2.5 inches long and very thin. Its a period done replacement.Wonder if it was to be mounted on a sun helmet or liner.I also have a $88th Div uniform with the 350th DIs that were converted from screw back to pin back in theater prior to be mounted on the ike.
