ken88 Posted June 18, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2014 I just got the new book Carentan: linking Omaha and Utah beach part I (loading for the first divisional flight). I'd recommend it to anyone interested in the 101st airborne division's history. Although it reminds me a lot of Michel De Trez' earlier book American Warriors, it's still worth purchasing if you already have that one, but you will find that you already know a lot of its contents. The book mainly focuses on the divisional departure from England's airports. Good read! Cheers, Ken
zippy144 Posted June 22, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 22, 2014 Hi My copy arrived on Friday. Yes i agree there are quite a few familar pictures. But it is still a must for anybody who is into D-Day airborne history. The quality of print and items included in the book are very much upto D-Day publishing's normal standard. I cannot wait for the next editions. Regards Tom
