Just picked up this one today.

Nice piece! This now makes three variations of this particular SACO silk embroidered patch that has surfaced over the years. You would think that something this rare would not have that many variations.

Where did the first USN Astronauts train in their high altitude pressure suits?

Not into Navy patches, but that is a cool patch.

Killer Dave,

Here's another rare one that wouldn't fly in today's military

post-2322-0-33642300-1471375213.jpg

The first 12 Nurses who passed the NASA astronaut training course in 1973 although they were never cleared to fly in the space program.  I think they were Air Force? Still need more research on this one

Some great looking patches members have posted.

I didn't see these posted so here's my small contribution

First up an Ultra Rare British Mission to Balkans (also known as British Military HQ in the Balkans) and a British Mission to Greece. Both of these insignia have a connection with the SOE and OSS.

Second a very hard to find matching pair of British Troops in Norway. The British were issued a pair and the U.S. were issued a single patch in 1945 when disarming the Germans in Norway.

Enjoy
