WWII Army Peaches box found at flea market

During WWII canned peaches were highly prized, especially by soldiers in the Pacific who could ferment them into "jungle Juice" or "kickapoo joy Juice". Everybody else just loved the taste of home. I found this Wooden crate at the nearby flea market for $5.00. Dated 10-44 it had, unfortunately, not contents but still has the nails that once held the lid. Interesting example
