jonesy1275 Posted June 13, 2014 #1 Posted June 13, 2014 I was very fortunate to host the return of Bob Noody to England during the last month of May. He had never returned to England since September 1944 when he took off for Op Market Garden. Bob served in Fox Co. 506th PIR 101st Airborne during WWII where he fought in all the campaigns that the 101st were involved in. On D-Day he was a bazookaman and was famously photographed in the C-47 some 10 minutes before take off. He was grossly over loaded with a leg bag, one bazooka, six bazooka rockets, one land mine, one M1 rifle, grenades and ammunition.
