"Airborne all the way!" A D-Day tribute in 1:6 scale

This I:6 figure is representative of the US paratroopers who jumped into the night on D-Day. I put it together using a variety of available parts from a number of sources to create the effect I wanted.

I can only echo, what all others have posted before. A fantastic figure, well done. As far as I know you, I'm sure your are already working on a matching glider...;-)

The glider is done...it's the C-47 that's the problem Lars! :lol:

So much detail...so much thought...so much research...so much time...end result: INCREDIBLE! I think I'm becoming addicted to this section of the Forum. It amazes me the amount of skill and talent some people possess! Wonderful job!

Is there a way you can prove that that uniform was made and issued before 1945.

Seems really new to me.

 

The pockets seem out of scale.

The buttons are not what one would see on an original.

Came direct from a vet so the provenance is 100%....mind you, he was a pretty small guy. Must be a rare experimental variant?
