I love finding complete groups like this and thankfully I was able to save it from being split into the winds by an estate company. There are 3 scrapbooks that look to contain every letter that he sent home. I will save that research for a winter night here. Kadet Posted June 8, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 8, 2014 Great group! The USAAF frequently awarded meritorious Bronze Stars to their non-aircrew ground personnel, especially officers. The AM is the more intriguing award IMO. I would request his award card and GO for that one. He looks to have been an early Sicily/Italy guy as well. Very nice...
