Tonomachi Posted June 5, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2014 A couple of things I've found at the flea market over the past couple of weekends. Nothing spectacular. I found this bullion US Navy rate and two boatswain mate's whistles. One with the lanyard is British and the other without is German made.

Tonomachi Posted June 5, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted June 5, 2014 Got lucky with this USMC Medical Corpsman knife stamped Chatillon, N.Y. for 20 dollars. This is the first time I've come across one with the original sheath.
Tonomachi Posted June 5, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted June 5, 2014 I found this MP brassard which I believe was worn at Fort Ord due to the uniform store (Esprit de Corps, Seaside, California) where it was bought which closed after the closure of Fort Ord in 1994. Tonomachi Posted June 5, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted June 5, 2014 The last thing I found was a named US Army Good Conduct medal for a Robert W. Hinwood. I looked him up on NARA (Service # 39865810) and the Internet (DOB 4/4/1926 & DOD 5/15/2007) and found out that he served with one of the Field Artillery Battalions of the 41st Division Artillery in the Philippines during WW2. What was interesting to me was that he was an English Professor at a local junior college that I attended a long time ago so I might have bumped into him way back when.
