Here is Yangtze Barrier medal that belonged to a sailor on the USS Luzon. This is part of the group shown in this photo taken on the USS Luzon.

Very cool medal.The sailor in the pic looks like Steve McQueen from 'The Sand Pebbles'.Same rank just different rate.

Here's another example of the medal shown above. I suspect that the vendor offered to name it and apply a gilt finish for an additional fee. Andrews served on the USS Luzon.

Here's a different version of the medal that's specific to the USS Luzon. I was looking for this version for many years and was finally able to grab this one on eBay recently.

That is a great and very rare medal Adam. The Yangtze Barrier medal is rare in itself but the USS Luzon is super rare.
