Nkomo Posted June 8, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 8, 2008 I've had this in my collection for several years. It is a cedar humidor (I think at least, I don't smoke) with Senior Pilot Wings on the top. Inside are 28 glass cigar cases/holders. All the cigars have been smoked, but some still have tobacco inside. The box is not marked that I can see. Anyone have any idea what time period this might be from? Any idea why the pilot would have kept 28 empty cigar holders? Thanks in advance! Nkomo Posted June 8, 2008 Author Share #2 Posted June 8, 2008 The glass holder is typical of the other 27 in the box.
Scott C. Posted June 9, 2008 Share #3 Posted June 9, 2008 Nice piece. My guess is it was made overseas (Korea or Viet Nam period?), perhaps Panama, or in Mexico, made for some of the AAF/early USAF training bases in Southern Texas. I imagine the glass holders were kept to be reused some day.
101combatvet Posted June 9, 2008 Share #4 Posted June 9, 2008 Looks like it's time to fill it back up...... nothing like a good cigar!
