boxerdogi Posted May 29, 2014 Share #5 Posted May 29, 2014 Okay....it's not British....it's Canadian. It is called the Pate suspension and is unique to the RCAF.
dustin Posted May 30, 2014 Share #6 Posted May 30, 2014 It is dated 1954, it is the MS22001 oxy mask. That's interesting Baze, the other data is telling me something different. First it is not an A-15A second and third is the specification number and contract being Material Command. for 1954 it does not have a MILSPEC and the contract is telling be it is late 1940's. That is just how I am interrupting it anyway.
boxerdogi Posted May 30, 2014 Share #7 Posted May 30, 2014 There should be a date right on the side of the rubber mask. Sometimes an ink stamp, but usually a round dial with three sets of numbers. It looks like it is there in the one picture.

Bluespicker Posted June 4, 2014 Share #18 Posted June 4, 2014 The Pate Suspension Assembly was used on Canadian helmets where the mask wasn't used all the time. You could actually pull the mask down and use a boom microphone. I have one inmy collection on a DH-41-1 (DH-411) flight helmet.
