Red Cross items picked up a couple weeks back

I got these from an antique store. The dealer had just put them there two days before. I can see the outline of Knox Mfg. inside the hat, and it was modified to make it larger. The enameled pin is outstanding. Dealer said they were from a clean out. Armband is not the one I am used to seeing. I thought you would like to see them.

Nice hat! And, I love the mods to it which makes it personal. That's the reason we can't ever get rid of anything. Even 5 of the same hat may be a little different....at least, to us. Definitely appears to be WWII era from the photo.

Don't know much about the armband, though.

I thought the armband looked later than WW2, but I believe the cap is from the war.

Nice WWII ARC summer hat/visor. Tje armband is 48-54.

The armband from WWII is oblong shape.
