KurtA Posted May 13, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2014 This recently came out of a local estate. I think it's wartime rather than a later reunion piece. Beautifully jeweler-crafted. Somewhere along the line, the pin was broken off.

daniel griffin Posted May 14, 2014 Share #3 Posted May 14, 2014 It does look to be wartime, very interesting with the floral engraving.
Patriot Posted May 14, 2014 Share #4 Posted May 14, 2014 I agree, it looks wartime. It almost looks like it was made from a coin, which was common.
KurtA Posted May 15, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted May 15, 2014 I agree, it looks wartime. It almost looks like it was made from a coin, which was common. Certainly possible, but there's no evidence of that - no reeding on the edge or evidence of smoothed-out coin design (even on the back). Looking at it closely, I really think it was made from scratch by a jeweler. I appreciate everyone's comments!
