I've been slowly clearing out my warehouse and coming across old collections I haven't seen for years. Among them were a USCG patch horde of hundreds. I pulled many of the older ones (see photo). Any objections if I post several pages of photos? I don't wish to over run the thread unless invited as others are adding theirs too.

USCGC NORTHWIND (WAGB-282) Wind class Icebreaker in USN/USCG service 1945 to 1989 This was the second icebreaker commissioned Northwind.

NOTE:  The first Northwind was transferred to the USSR under Lend-Lease and became Staten Island upon her return to the United States. The name change was made to avoid confusion with the other icebreaker

Treasury Class High Endurance Cutters - The seven cutters were originally classified as WPG when they were convoy escorts during the 'Bloody Winter' of 1942. In 1965 the large cutters (except Hamilton which had been torpedoed and sunk) were all reclassified as WHEC high endurance cutters, just prior to Vietnam service.

We started this topic with the Taney patch in the lower right. The patch in the upper right was just prior to her decommissioning in 1986
