bellasilva Posted May 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2014 Nothing spectacular here but I picked up this nice 44 dated mess kit today for a good price. It's actually my first with any utensils included at all. The spoon is marked U.S. and SILCO STAINLESS on the back. Hope the pictures are okay. USdog Posted May 2, 2014 Share #3 Posted May 2, 2014 Awesome! I once had a mess kit named to a marine... Forgot what exactly he did in the war, but it looked like it had seen lots of action.
bellasilva Posted May 2, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted May 2, 2014 I wish I could have seen it, that's pretty neat. You definitely don't see many named mess kits out there.
USdog Posted May 2, 2014 Share #5 Posted May 2, 2014 I actually have a pic! I'll PM it to you. It was pretty neat.... It had his name and serial number on every piece of it, including utensils!
