turmanator Posted May 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2014 Got this off of Craigslist earlier this week for $10.00 bucks so couldn't complain. The interior looks like a nice oak and the drawer is dovetaild so kinda looks WW2 but might be Vietnam. It's only 20"x20"x12" so it is not very large. Anyone know what it's period and nomenclature. I see no mfg. or date. I am going clean it up to use it as my "kitchen" during dispalys and reenacmnets and camping.
Johan Willaert Posted May 2, 2014 Share #2 Posted May 2, 2014 Looks like a WW2 CHEST, RECORD, FIBER
kies99 Posted May 2, 2014 Share #3 Posted May 2, 2014 That's a Records Chest which works more like a filing cabinet companion to the Field Desk. Based on the pictures I'd go with it being WWII. There should be a small, oval tag on the top by the lock (which I'm guessing is not there).
