Nkomo Posted April 29, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2014 This is something you don't see everyday. This is some Iraqi used body armor that was bought from a British firm and used by the Iraqi Armed Forces on a VERY limited basis through the mid 80s up until 91 (Desert Storm). Very little is known about these vests, but general consensus is that these were used by the Republican Guard and other highly specialized, elite Iraqi units. Nkomo Posted April 29, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted April 29, 2014 I have two sets of the Tetranike body armor used by the Iraqis during the Desert Storm era. The one I posted above is used and is missing the plastic shoulder pieces and the ballistic collar. This is my unissued set to show what pieces are missing on the used one. I also added a picture of the Tetranike manufacturer's logo. Always looking for US and foreign militaria from the Central American wars circa 1970-1990
