Has anyone out there ever came acrost any private purchess CBI Flight gear? I recently found an oddball leather flight helmet that I was told came back with a ww2 soldier, it is very well made looks ww2 era and has a military style ink stamp on the inside with only one word still readable INDIA. Any info?? I will get photos up as soon as possible

It's possible.I have seen army officers crushes made in the C.B.I.

depending on the pattern it could be a US version or possibly a British version.

There were Indian made flight helmets patterned after the RAF type C. Tex Hill of the Flying Tigers. 23rd FG had one that shows up in a book on flight helmets. I'd be curious to see a photo of the helmet in question.
