BROBS Posted April 18, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 18, 2014 I remember seeing a thread a while back where someone basically completely disassembled a WW2 medal case showing how it was constructed. I cannot, however find it... or remember what it was called or who started it. I don't even remember if it was in this forum or a different one. If anyone remembers, or can help I would certainly appreciate it. I am going to attempt to fix the spring in a case, and that thread would help me immensely. thanks! -Brian
Allan H. Posted April 19, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 19, 2014 I know that Luftstalg1 did one on a Silver Liefesaving case and medal- http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/199612-the-dissection-of-a-type-iv-silver-lifesaving-medal-set/?hl=lifesaving I've restored a number of WWII cases. If the spring isn't working on a WWII case, odds are the spring is broken. You'll have to find one out of another case to repair it. Allan
