kfields Posted April 13, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 13, 2014 I purchased this about 15 years ago from a local fellow who was downsizing. I hope it is not a reproduction but here goes! It is ink stamped on the inside to 10th Battery Field Artillery . Also numbered 111. There are 45 loops for the cartridges. Here's a bunch of pictures. kfields Posted April 13, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted April 13, 2014 Guys, thanks for the feedback. I was 99% sure the belt itself was fine but I'm not as sure when judging the originality of these stamped belt plates. I know there are a lot of repros out there so I am always cautious. I have several books on belts and belt plates and handled more than a few and count myself as being above average in being able to seperate the good from the repro but I especially get hung up on the late 1800's stamped belt plates.
