grogsie_86 Posted March 25, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 25, 2014 Hi guys, need some help. How can I tell the difference (besides wear) from an original Gordon and Ferguson WW2 M-422a, and one of the Gordon and Ferguson repros? is it a contract number thing? The label on the repro has nothing I can see that would tell it apart from a vintage one. Please help! Photos below. Thanks

Stony Posted March 25, 2014 Share #7 Posted March 25, 2014 The label is a dead giveaway. The one you posted pictures of is an original. The repros don't look anything like that. The one made by Eastman has "Eastman" on their label with a white tag sewn off to the side.
Allan H. Posted March 25, 2014 Share #8 Posted March 25, 2014 You might do better to post this in the "aviation" section rather than the World War I section of the forum. You'll get a better response as this is most definitely a World War II Naval Aviator's jacket. Allan
grogsie_86 Posted March 25, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted March 25, 2014 Thank You Stony! And my mistake Allan, I thought I'd clicked WW2. Thanks!
