Redlegwolf Posted August 10, 2014 Share #26 Posted August 10, 2014 The chinstrap is the same as a basic Army Officer's chin chain--gilded brass links, likely leather backed-there was no difference except that the USMC used some pretty cheap gilding. You should be able to find them around $100-150. It looks solid to me--and it's nice to have a Horstmann stamp that isn't 1902--it's a solid bet that most of the 1902 ones were never issued.
