roadrunner Posted November 2, 2018 Author Share #63 Posted November 2, 2018 I found this picture here in the forum. Nice bullion version. Brigadier General (Later Major General) Aaron Bradshaw Jr. He was the Commander of Anti Aircraft Artillery of the Fifth Army in WWII under Gen. Mark Clark. He stayed in logistics on the General Staff after WWII in Germany, which is where these uniforms date from. These would be from 1946 after he received his Bronze Star Medal and before his second Legion of Merit and Commendation Ribbon. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/255551-wwii-fifth-army-brigadier-generals-uniform-lot-aaron-bradshaw-jr/ . I used to own this uniform and still have the other one and the rest of his group. It was a beauty!
roadrunner Posted November 2, 2018 Author Share #65 Posted November 2, 2018 As collector of General Staff items I would like to have only the collar insignias because I dont collect uniforms. A few weeks ago I saw a uniform for sale with GS BOS marked MEYER METAL. I really liked the items but postage to Germany is very expensive plus custom tax, it would cost to much. Also I dont like to strip uniforms or replace original items with modern BOS. Asking the seller if he would only sell the GS BOS would be the same problem. So I have to wait, finding one in the next years. I like the USMF and get best informations and find good pictures for reference. Michael
