ccyooper Posted March 14, 2014 Share #8 Posted March 14, 2014 I think this is a US version. Most if not all German versions I have seen have numbers stamped (indented) in the wings on the end as well as other german stamps. I believe the US were ink stamped on the wings which has worn off. I also believe the wings on a german SD2 were two piece ie arm attached to wing or end cap and the US version was a 1 piece stamped like the example shown. I am by no means an authority or expert on these items. I am only going by examples I have seen or the German one I once had in my collection. If it is the US version which I believe it is, I have no idea if is a WWII or post war version. I believe we used them thru Vietnam.
