MattS Posted March 10, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 10, 2014 I posted these in the "Real or What" section but couldn't get much info. They were pinned to a 1950s-60s USAF Silvertan colonel's uniform and looked good from the front, until I took them off. Either way, I spent very little on the uniform and insignia. Opinions appreciated! http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/203513-3-command-pilot-wings-real-or-what/
Bob Hudson Posted March 10, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 10, 2014 To be honest, it doesn't look like something worth faking.

MattS Posted January 30, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted January 30, 2019 Resurrecting a dead thread, but I came across these wings again last night and I'm not sure I ever got an answer to 1) are they legit and 2) are they correct for the late 50s/early 60s? Thanks!
pfrost Posted January 30, 2019 Share #5 Posted January 30, 2019 Yes, if I had to guess, I think that they are probably legit and are probably of that time period.

pfrost Posted January 30, 2019 Share #7 Posted January 30, 2019 Please call me Patrick! I think you can do a search for the G.I. brand on the forum, its been discussed before. Have a nice day
MattS Posted January 30, 2019 Author Share #8 Posted January 30, 2019 Will do Patrick! A search for GI produces a LOT of results, I tried that!
