crotalus358 Posted March 9, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2014 Good morning All. Thanks in advance for looking/opinions on this. I just picked this double-sided party flag up this morning - couldn't resist as it's named to a Robert L. Brown of the "Fox Raiders" (C.O. Captain Armstrong), which was apparently a heavy weapons company. It appears that all of the names were penned by the same hand in indelible ink. I haven't had a chance to do any research on the names, but I thought that it was pretty noteworthy that Mr. Brown took the time to pen the names of three mortar squads, two machine gun squads, and the C.O. The other examples of signed flags that I have in my collection were signed by the individual soldiers in the platoon, but this is the first that I've come across that has apparently been done by one soldier as a souvenir roster of sorts. I'll do some digging and see what I can come up with on this company; otherwise, if anyone has any info on the Fox Raiders, I'd greatly appreciate anything you could add. Thanks!
