Here is a selection of insignia I brought back from Afghanistan in 2008. I travelled around quite extensively as an advisor to Afghan forces and through my interpreter bought insignia from locals whenever I could find it. These are the choice pieces. This is a mix of Russian and Afghan insignia ( from the Soviet Era ) and some neat British pieces from the colonial years.

Very cool - I like the Brit pieces and saw a few reminders of the British Empire in Iraq as well. Thanks for showing.
