Type 2 With double Tongue. This is one of the most difficult Mtn Ski items to find as they were not issued long.

(Craig Pickrall sold me this pair shortly before he died. I sincerely appreciated his kindness, and contribution to my collection.)

.

the last post was April 2015,  time to open the topic again . . . . .

From the Shoebox . . . . . . .

this is my WWII mountain / ski troops spare fuel container, these are quite a rare WWII piece to find.  Somewhere in my files I have the patent plans for this can but AWOL at the moment.

I believe there are post-war models which were slightly different in design.

regards lewis

Ken,

This is very coo! How would the ski troops use the fuel found in this container? What kind of fuel was in these?

We have two sets of WW2, 10th Mountain Div related skiis . . . one set marked and made here in Maine ( So. Paris, ME ) , these skiis have no bindings but do have the lengths and date of mfg - and both pairs are in very good WWII condition w/proper edges - never been used !   If interested, get in touch .     Dave in Maine
