Flashlarue Posted March 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 2, 2014 The 157th Inf Reg was part of the 45th ID in WW2. At one point the recorder quit recording the cause of death for the KIA because there were so many. By the end of the war the 157th had over 1,250 dead. This is a nice early WW2 DUI, NS MEYER INC pin back.
patches Posted March 3, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2014 Yes indeed, for instance the 3rd Battalion 157th Infantry was virtually annihilated by troops of the 6th SS Mountain Division Nord at Reipertswiller during the German Nordwind offensive.
