John Cooper

Look what just landed!

Recommended Posts

Ok all of you wing gurus maybe you can help ID this wing. As you can see from the photos (not as goos as Roberts but... ;) the great seal is part of the die vs. being attached over the observer O. Next you will notice the very detailed feather design and thin high shoulder. On the reverse you will notice that there is a partial outline of the eagle from the great seal.

Thoughts?

Hi John,

Beautiful wings, but I can’t help you with maker. Double strike on “Sterling” mark is very cool. Your wings are very nicely detailed (feathers details and even background of great seal). This almost forces me to think about maker like Robbins Co (?!) – but that’s a wild guess…Overall great looking wings.

Ps. your pictures are great too!

Best regards

Robert

Thanks Robert!

I hope that other collectors will have examples from the same maker. I know there is a pilot wing but the only folks I know that have them say they have been made into braclets...

John
