blitz67 Posted February 16, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2014 I need a little help IDing what rifle this 1870 Navy bayonet is for. Has a hole on the end of the handle and a very lite short slot on the side with a threaded hole next to that, the blade is also double edged. Total length is 24 1/2" Thanks! jerseygary Posted February 16, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 16, 2014 I believe that's for the Remington Model 1870 Rolling Block rifle as manufactured by the Springfield Arsenal.
retread12345 Posted December 13, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 13, 2015 There was an Army model of the Rolling Block as well as a Navy model. Both in cal. 50-70. The bayonets were of different patterns Navy bayonets are scarce.
