Patchcollector Posted February 10, 2014 #1 Posted February 10, 2014 Hi all, Here is a recent find, some nicely embroidered pieces but I have no idea what unit they represent.Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.Sellers' pics. Here is the sellers' description: THIS IS A MATCHED PAIR - HAND EMBROIDERED IN FINELY BRAIDED RED SILK THREAD ON 1.75x1.75" BLUE-BLACK WOOLEN BASE CLOTH. DESIGN IS THAT OF CROSSED ANCHORS WITH LIFE RING IN THE CENTER AND 4 POINTS OF THE COMPASS IN THE BACKGROUND. ERA AND ORIGIN UNKNOWN BUT I'VE OWNED THESE FOR MANY YEARS AND SPECULATION HAS ALWAYS BEEN SOME FORM OF LIFE SAVING SERVICE - POSSIBLY THEATRE MADE OR OF EUROPEAN AFILIATION.
