Brig Posted February 4, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2014 Grabbed this one off eBay with a BIN, found it very interesting, looks like a transitional piece from when they stopped using both lat/long lines. Notice the difference front and rear.

Kurt Barickman Posted February 5, 2014 Share #3 Posted February 5, 2014 Brig, Just got a pair like that on a set of pre-WWII dress blues to a sgt. who was with the Marine Detachment on the USS Maryland and was there with them on 12-7-1941. Thanks to fellow forum member Doyler for that acquisition. Do you know what the rarity of those enlisted gold EGAs are? Thanks in advance, Kurt
Brig Posted February 5, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted February 5, 2014 These emblems themselves aren't overly rare...popular when they come up, but not rare. This weird transitional variant would likely be popular with variant collectors such as myself, but to those just wanting the emblem pattern, wouldn't really affect anything, IMO
