Blue Leader Posted February 1, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2014 Here is a still life evoking a F-86E Sabre pilot of the 51st Fighter-Interceptor Wing operating over Mig Alley in North Korea from December 1951.The outfit is based on a photo of Capt. McConnell Joseph Jr. It consists of a blue cotton L-1A flying suit, a B-5 lifejacket, B-3A gloves, a G-3A anti-g suit. The head gear consists of a P-1B helmet, an A-13A late pattern oxygen mask and B-8 flying goggles.Only the parachute is not present.
