jetranger407 Posted January 29, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2014 I was wondering if there was any existing know-how out there pertaining to the washing of deck jackets. I have one that has a nice set-in patina but a terrible funk that needs to be removed (read:odor). I usually am against messing with hard-earned patina, but this harsh of an odor is a different matter. Any thoughts on how best to wash or soak this thing. Any previous experience observing that it looses its color, or easily loose/shed its pile lining? I'm contemplating throwing it into a light oxyclean bath and allowing it to soak first inside out (alpaca on the exterior), then rightside-in with jungle cloth as the outershell. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
