BROBS Posted February 3, 2014 #26 Posted February 3, 2014 Brian, Lets see some of your patches. Regards, Mitch Ask and you shall receive! Here is what I have.. I only collect WW2 Seabee. (as far as Seabee stuff goes) Of the "Seabee" patches the top one is German made. The "bee" is a little more green and just is a little weird. The rates (CB 1st class Petty Officer) are from a guy near Keokuk I believe.. named on the back. Those who say there were no fully embroidered rates in WW2.. take a look at those. Obviously fairly early too.. in that they have the CB on the rate. Hope you enjoy them.. I like the small variations between the patches. The pocket (PX) patch is on a very dark navy that seems to match a P-coat. All the other ones I have ever seen were on a lighter navy blue. If you click the links.. then the magnifying glass in the bottom corner (twice) you can see the fullsize pics. It won't let me post the fullsize pics. Thanks for looking! -Brian On a sidenote.. here is a Seabee display I made in honor of my Grandfather: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/200578-display-i-made-today-in-honor-of-my-grandfather-ww2-seabee/

Bearmon Posted February 8, 2015 Author #35 Posted February 8, 2015 Neat badge, is it hammered aluminum?
River Patrol Posted February 8, 2015 #36 Posted February 8, 2015 It's not aluminum.....I don't know what type of metal it is.....it's hard and has a chromed finish (mostly worn away on the front).
firefighter Posted February 8, 2015 #38 Posted February 8, 2015 RP that is an awesome MAA badge. Is it Philippine made?
River Patrol Posted February 8, 2015 #39 Posted February 8, 2015 RP that is an awesome MAA badge. Is it Philippine made? I'm not sure where it was made....all I know is the original owner served in Vietnam. Good CB stuff in this thread!!
ocsfollowme Posted February 17, 2015 #40 Posted February 17, 2015 This is similar to Mitch's post in #18. Different color, and the stake is curved on the Danger sign too. The back of it appears to be 1960s make. A few more Japanese made that came in the lot. 1960s-1970s. Also, there were two mini pennants.
