8th Air Force Museum visit

Visited the 8th Air Force Museum in Pooler, GA (Savannah), here is link to photobucket full of pictures.

Failry large museum with lots to read about, mission movie & a few other movies to watch. Good displays of uniforms and gear used by 8th Air Force, plenty of knowledge and history of 8th AF, also a hands on gunner video game, Stalag flag signed by POW's, the surrender document signed by Macarthur & Nimitz etc. Diner inside and gift shop, also a library for research.

Took two of my grandkids there this past Summer. Of course I enjoyed it, but even a 9 and 10 year old enjoyed it. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for posting this thread. I had the opportunity to visit the museum in 2011 and was quite impressed with the collection that is on display.

So many museums and so little time. Seems they are all over the place just don't get advertised. Thanks for the Wasp info, I must have ended my long tour early and missed that part. Guess I have to go back and spend a few more hours there, oh the agony! Cant wait!
