Camouflage? I kinda doubt it. The 101st vet who picked it up wasn't going to wear it into combat. I agree with Doyler and Jack's Son - looking at it shows that the vet spent a bunch of his "down time" adorning it with his own personal embellishments and slogans, and the grenade pins look to be a part of that. But I guess we will never know, unless the vet can be contacted.

Great helmet!....one thing to consider if you are going to try and research the vet.....isnt Death Before Dishonor a USMC saying?.....maybe the vet was a marine as a possibility?.....mike
