The_Brick Posted January 15, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 15, 2014 The middle one is the 145th Field Artillery Regiment. The last one is the 145th Infantry Regiment. I wasn't able to find the first one.
vzemke Posted January 16, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 16, 2014 The first one is for the 101st Naval Construction Battalion (CB, or "SeaBees"). More about them here: http://www.history.navy.mil/museums/seabee/UnitListPages/NCB/101%20NCB.pdf
firefighter Posted January 16, 2014 Share #5 Posted January 16, 2014 Cool 101st NCB pin. Those are hard to find.Looks like it's marked on the back.Below is a little history on the 101st NCB.The 145th FA looks to have an open catch and may also be theater made? http://www.history.navy.mil/museums/seabee/UnitListPages/NCB/101%20NCB.pdf
DwightPruitt Posted January 18, 2014 Share #6 Posted January 18, 2014 The last one is the 145th Infantry Regiment. As of 2007, it's the 145th Armor.
MikeK Posted January 20, 2014 Share #7 Posted January 20, 2014 As of 2007, it's the 145th Armor. The hardware on the example in this thread (specifically the open flat "C" catch) most likely indicates pre-WW2 construction, so 145th IR would imo be correct in this case.
