Okay, I hope this is the right forum for this question. Thought I had quite a few USMC reference books but on this topic I have come up short. What insignia would a USMC Warrant Officer in 1944 wear? Which of the bars with red/s stripes? What about the bomb ordnance pin on lapel insignia? Any help here would be greatly appreciated and pictures would be especially helpful. Just acquired a USMC 2nd Divison officer tunic which according to Ancestry was a "warrant officer" in 1944. I thank you in advance.

K, in ww2 era the WO's wore a gold bar with a thin red stripe in the middle. CWO's wore the same gold bar, however the red stripe in the middle was noticeably fatter or twice as wide as the WO. s/f D.

Thanks for the insight. Anybody got a pair of pin-back shirt collars and tunic shoulder bars for sale with the thin red line in the middle? Hopefully either Meyer or Hamburger Hilborn?

Thanks,

Kurt
