R Michael Posted January 9, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2014 Friend of mine sent me this link to a craigs list add. Thought you all would enjoy. The seller looks to be close to Ft. Knox and not to far from me. Mike http://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/4276945500.html
uberguido Posted January 9, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 9, 2014 That is awesome. I like to call my sunroof my Gunners Hatch, but restoring something like that for civilian use would just be awesome.

GeneralCheese Posted January 9, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 9, 2014 That's pretty neat. Would the M2 Browning have been mounted on that?
TRR Posted January 9, 2014 Share #5 Posted January 9, 2014 That is pretty interesting and would be a cool ratrod project or a treehouse for the young soldier.
R Michael Posted January 10, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted January 10, 2014 It would be a great project. Though looking down at the topp it looks like it has had the opening modified to put the rectangle opening in. I would think that the original opening would have been open to allow for 360 degree turning.
hbtcoveralls Posted January 10, 2014 Share #7 Posted January 10, 2014 That's pretty neat. Would the M2 Browning have been mounted on that? No, the MG was mounted on a ring that was supported above the cab roof. The opening in the roof allowed the co-driver to stand up through the roof into the gun ring and use the .50 for antiaircraft use. Interestingly the cabs aren't that rare, but the ring for the hard cab is very hard to find on the loose. Tom Bowers
