GLM Posted January 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2007 Jim, Have you seen these pins? From my understanding, they were given to the factory workers at different companies for production quotas on the M4 Sherman, in this case, F.L.Jacobs Co. Jeeper704 Posted January 21, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 21, 2007 Very nice pin. Do other types exist too? Like a Dakota or a Jeep? Erwin
GLM Posted January 21, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted January 21, 2007 Very nice pin.Do other types exist too? Like a Dakota or a Jeep? Erwin Erwin, At one time, I also owned one that was a likeness of the M3 Grant but gave it away before I actually knew what they were. I personally thought they were sweetheart pieces, but then, I got into a bidding war for another M4 Sherman on eBay about 5 or 6 years ago that went for $15.. I asked the winning bidder what they were and he's the one that told me. I have no knowledge of other vehicle pins, but I would guess there probably were to boost morale of the workers. Jim Baker Posted January 23, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi Gary, You're so cruel....... Seriously, as a regular eBay looky loo, I have seen these come up...... including your M-3. I also thought they were sweetheart pieces. I'll take a closer look at the next one I see and let you.
