GIl Sanow Posted December 19, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 19, 2013 This should tell you what you want to know. Nice coat, by the way. Cav is highly desirable. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3874&hl= G
cavsaddle Posted December 19, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted December 19, 2013 Gil, Thank you for steering me to all that very invaluable information. Interesting how many changes took place in such a short period of time. I have found over my many years of collecting cavalry saddles and equipment that although not as romantic as the Civil War and Indian War periods, the time period between 1900 and WW1 was a much more interesting period of development and change. Thanks again for the information. Best, George
US Victory Museum Posted December 21, 2013 Share #7 Posted December 21, 2013 I had to do a quick double-take when I saw the insignia on this uniform... Troop B, 7th Cavalry! I too have an identical period uniform to a Troop B, 7th Cavalry soldier. (No name in the uniform) Msn
